My books are scattered on the floor
I want to throw them out the door
I love the content of the pages
But would rather be out earning wages
I am sick of being tired and worn
Feel like I've been in school since I was born
My kids are growing up so fast
What was once my future is already my past.
I want so badly to counsel those
Who suffer from worries and from woes
But how much longer can I take
Before my body and mind will break?
I remind myself "Just 2 years more"
And "At least my classes aren't a bore."
"Keep plugging away, plow right through"
"Soon you will help those who feel blue!"
Next?

Hang in there, Nicki. It will so be worth it when you accomplish your final goal. Remember each step, each class is a goal accomplished! Your determination and persiverance is a great example for your kids. Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Betsy, Caz and Connie! I have always liked throwing some rhyming words together but no, Betsy, never serious about it. I try to make it humorous! =) Thanks for the motivation to all of you as well! Grad school is a bit more taxing than I imagined! The AMOUNT of work is overwhelming! I hope you are all doing well!
