Apparently, I have addictive tendencies! Luckily for me, I have known this for most of my life. I was aware of this as a teenager and when friends would offer me pot, I would say, "No, because I am afraid I will like it." I have never tried it and probably never will. Well, unless I get some disease and my doc tells me it is okay because I am all about following doctor's orders (except for when they tell me to quit smoking).
As you already may have guessed, I have become addicted to getting tattoos. As I sit here with tats 8 and 9 healing, I am plotting out my next one...or 4. I want to brighten up and add to the Calvin and Hobbes tat on my leg, I want an angel on my left shoulder and a devil on my right, and I want a totally far out one of a blue jay flying around the earth. My mom's name is "Jay" and everyone called her "Bird" or "Jay Bird." Shortly after she died, there was a Blue Jay just hanging around me while I was in the garden. It would fly off but come right back and it literally kept me company for about 45 minutes. Finally, I looked at the thing and said, "Mom?"
Well, now thanks to my daughter and her boyfriend, I have become addicted to something else! I don't think it is serious and I am pretty sure I can quit whenever I want to! If you got the guts, try it out for yourself. Go ahead...everyone is doing it! It will make you feel good!!!

No way am I getting hooked on another game! I have some addictive/compulsive tendencies myself and I thought I would never break myself from Farmville. It's so hard to stop!
ReplyDeleteConnie, I don't blame you!!!
ReplyDeleteGames are always fun!! How could anyone not get hooked on fun mindless games!! I love playing Kinect but, I don't have anyone to play with most of the time:) I hear that about tats by the way...once you get one you can't stop because it is fun!! I guess it isn't such a bad thing if you like it!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm afraid I would get hooked on tattoos too. I have tried the temporary ones. Does that count a little? Will you share them by taking pictures of them when you are done? I am curious to see them.
ReplyDeleteI can't even get up the courage to get my husband's name tattooed on my ring finger! The Blue Jay story made me tear up and smile 8-)
ReplyDeleteYes, Betsy, temporary ones count!!! Especially if you have to rub them really hard to inflict some discomfort! I will definitely post pics when I am done!!
ReplyDeleteCaz, I still don't have any tattoos that reference my husband. He is a little put off by that I think but I just think it is bad luck to do that!
Casey, too bad we don't live close to each other! I would play with ya! My husband finally accepts the fact that I am artsy and I love having art on my body! Yay!
