The condition of my yard has not changed in the least but I have lots of happy things to consider in my life right now. For starters, I was told three times yesterday at a graduation party that my daughter is the spitting image of me. People said more than once, "I never met your daughter but I know I saw her at that table because she looks just like you!" That makes me happy on 2 levels and sad on one. Happy Level One: Thank God I didn't spend 36 hours in labor (back labor no less) while my husband slept, snored, passed out once, and complained about the cramp in his hand when I asked him to massage my back during the contractions so that I would have a kid that looked like someone other than me! Happy Level Two: my daughter is the most beautiful girl in the world so to say that we look alike (which also mean I look like her) is a very nice compliment for me! The sad part is for my daughter. Peanut, I am so sorry that people tell you all the time that you look like your mother. I never felt it to be much of a compliment when people said that to me as a kid! Poor kid.
Other good things going on...I got to spend yesterday in good company (Thank you, my dear friend!!!) and other than needing a nap (my usual daily routine), I felt pretty good yesterday. Wahhhhoooooo!!
After having 8 tattoos and wanting more, my husband has finally accepted the fact that I will ink my body because I love art and has given me his blessing! Normally, I do things and he deals with it and I am okay with that because I can't please everyone and I need to please me and he knows that once I set my mind on something, the damage has already been done but when I have his sincere understanding and blessing...BONUS! For that reason, I am happily anticipating my next tattoo! I have an appointment for tomorrow morning but I am worried that the one he is adding to won't be healed enough to get it done yet. Please, please, please be healed enough!!!!! There will be pics of course! I plan to do a post dedicated to my tattoos. =)
Lastly, I am drinking coffee out of this today and it just makes me smile!!!
